The City's most recent lease agreement with the Punta Gorda Boat Club provides for more public waterfront access along the peninsula. The Boat Club is proposing to install a nautical style fence to act as a visual demarcation between the 8-foot wide public access area and the leased property.

This post-and-rope fence will be comprised of dolphin pilings wrapped with rope and rope draped in between each piling. The pilings will be placed every 6 feet. The corner and end posts will have 3 dolphin pilings with the same line wrapped to produce a more decorative feature. The new bollards installed adjacent to the basin will have the same line draped and the new post-and-rope fence will abut the bollards at each end.
