Procurement issued a request for qualifications to establish a master agreement to provide professional services for permitting various projects for the City’s waterway assets. The Evaluation and Selection Committee shortlisted 3 firms as follows: (1) Hans Wilson & Associates, Inc., (2) Taylor Engineering and (3) Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions. At the Final ESC Meeting on April 21, 2020, the committee selected the top ranked firm, Hans Wilson & Associates, Inc. to proceed into negotiations.
Specific authorization #1 is to provide professional services to design and permit the Widening of Ponce Inlet. Solicitation notices were sent to 403 vendors, 18 viewed the solicitation on-line and the City received 4 responses.
The not-to-exceed cost for this project is $92,800.00. Staff is requesting Council to approve a contingency budget in the amount of $9,300.00 for a total of $102,100.00. The contingency budget shall be utilized by the Department for approved written Change Orders for unforeseen permitting requirements. The project timeline for completion is 2,377 consecutive calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed. |
