No appropriation needed - within budget approved by Council based on Engineer’s Cost Estimate for Construction of $1,956,940.

City Council approval of Change Order #2 to Agreement F2018123 to Kelly Brothers, Inc., for Rock Seawall Installation.

While driving sheet piles, the contractor discovered a rock layer along the entire length of the seawall alignment. As a result, the vinyl sheet panels must be installed by pre-forming a hole by punching, drilling or excavating the hard strata/rock. This rock seawall installation method was included as an optional item in the construction contract at $275 per linear foot. At 1,051 linear feet the additional cost is $289,025.
