Procurement issued a Request for Qualifications to solicit submittals from qualified and experienced engineering firms to provide professional engineering/design services for conducting a study of alternative seawall design materials and design standards.
The evaluation & Selection Committee (ESC) independently evaluated the three (3) submittals and ranked shortlisted the firms for presentations on February 13, 2019. The ESC received presentations from the top 3 shortlisted firms on March 5, 2019. After the presentations the ESC finalized their evaluation and ranked the firms: 1) Taylor Engineering; 2) Blot Engineering; and 3) J Foster Consulting.
The ESC selected Taylor Engineering to enter into negotiations with the City for the award of this Master Agreement. Staff negotiated an hourly rate schedule for the Master Agreement and subsequently negotiated the scope of work and fee schedule for Specific Authorization 1: Initial Study. The total not to exceed cost of this project is $79,937.50, which includes all expenses to complete the services. Services are anticipated to be completed by November 20, 2019.
The Master Agreement is for a five (5) year period and the hourly rate schedule will be fixed for the period of one (1) year. |
